How to activate a Command Set for a VoxEnabled application

In order to voice enable your application, you must first ensure that you have VoxEnable and a version of Dragon® NaturallySpeaking® 9 or above installed and working on your computer. If this is not the case please visit www.voxenable.com to do so.

    1. After purchasing the licence for your selected application, you will either receive an email containing your license key or your reseller will supply your license key. This key is very important and must be kept safe. The 48 digit licence key will be alpha-numeric and look like the following:

    3GH4-7C3F-CB3C-7507-777C-03FB-FCF7-624C-3D8F-9C52-A9E2-0098

    IMPORTANT POINT FOR VISTA USERS:
You must open VoxEnable as an administrator in order for Vista to recognise the licence activation.
To do this please go to:
START > All Programs > VoxEnable Folder > Right click on VoxEnable.exe > Choose Run as Administrator > Click Allow
You will only need to follow these steps when you are activating a licence, not every time you start the application.
Please continue with the remainder of these steps to activate your command set.

    2. To activate this key you will need to right click on the VoxEnable icon in the system tray at the bottom right of the screen.

    3. Choose and click on Supported Applications.

    4. To activate a command set properly it is important that you have the latest version of VoxEnable, to check this please click on Update before activating your licence key.

    5. When VoxEnable is up to date, choose the Application which you have purchased the command set for, and click on the Activate button next to the application.

    6. You will be prompted to enter the licence key. To ensure accuracy we advise that you copy and paste this key if possible, to avoid any user error.

    7. You have now successfully activated your chosen application! Open your application and begin using your voice to command it.

Alternatively you can follow these onscreen instructions:

  • When I enter the key code shown on the card that came with Dragion Speaking to activate an application for VoxEnable I get the error messaghe stating that I entered the code incorrectly. I have entered it exactly as shown on the card and get this message everytime.

IT oculd be a simple Case of mistaking O's for 0's. putting in two many spaces or not enough. These codes are case sensitive so that could also be an issue. if you are really struggling to get it sorted try one of our technical support staff. tom.shearman@voxenable.com or Lucy.bourne@voxenable.com

  • When trying to activate vox by entering the activation code, random sentances and words appear repeating its self. This has happened with different models of laptops?

Hi, To me this sounds like you have the speach recognition system running whilst inputting the code. If you use dragon to input the code I would recomend using Dragon in "Spell Mode". This way it will only recognise the Letters, numbers and Dashes. If you dont use dragon to input the code i would recomend turning the Microphone Off. This way you dont get the microphone picking up conversations or any thing you say.
